Biography

Presenter (Farshad Ibrahimi Farshad Ibrahimi - As founder and key Principal of QLA, Farshad has over 23 years experience in Australia and abroad, across Water, Energy, and Transport sectors. As a thought leader and a T-Shaped professional, his credentials are backed by successful delivery of transformational programs in asset management, ranging from development of policy & strategy, through to benchmarking, tactical planning, implementation, risk/change management, information systems and digital transformation for public and private sector clients. He held Global service line leadership roles with responsibility for substantial foundational and growth strategies for AM business across multiple international consultancies. He led several high-profile international projects, which have contributed to global growth of asset management across multiple sectors. He continues to actively participate in, and lead international discussions, in raising the profile of asset management, and its significance in continual improvement of customer service delivery, circular economies and environmental sustainability. Co-Presenter (Tim Golland) Tim Golland - is the Manager Assets and Development at North East Water, responsible for the organisation’s asset management and urban growth portfolios. Growing up with a strong affection for the land Tim moved from Wagga Wagga to Sydney to study agriculture. Some 20 years later, with further study in engineering and business and a successful career in the urban water industry with Australia's largest water utility he returned to regional living. Tim spent two years with the NSW Government on water resource planning in the Murray-Darling Basin, before leading the Riverina Western team for NSW Public Works Advisory, partnering with government, industry, and local communities to plan, procure and deliver key infrastructure projects. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and an MBA in strategic management.
