Wayne is a technical leader with in-depth experience across strategic level business planning-centric asset management. He has 35 years of experience assessing and advising on improvements for transit/public transport, highways, water utilities, facilities, and municipalities. Wayne has worked on performance-aligned, asset management improvement programs including establishing asset information solutions architecture models for efficient and reliable data management in support of effective and appropriate decision making. Wayne has specializations in performance, risk, and security management programs; and has a range of experience in transportation and water asset management, including leading the development of asset management plans, risk assessments, and organizational change. Wayne’s asset management journey began by working on business risk and asset management programs for large dams. Wayne works to understand key business drivers for client initiatives, how they translate to projects, and how to coordinate people resources to deliver project objectives. Wayne’s strategic consulting focus is on advising infrastructure-based service providers on aligning their day-to-day activities with their top line business goals. Wayne has a Masters degree in Infrastructure Management with a specialization in public policy. Wayne applies his public policy background to guiding infrastructure-risk enterprises towards alignment with organizational and regulatory objectives and the way in which they operate and manage their infrastructure systems. Wayne has undertaken a number of risk assessments for the protection of critical infrastructure, starting with the threat of terrorism after 9/11, before undertaking risk assessments considering all security risks. Recently, Wayne has undertaken a risk assessment for all hazards, including security and natural, using an organization's asset management system to underpin a business transformation designed to enable the effective management of those risks and make the organization more resilient to future shocks.
