Meeting the New Regulatory Framework for Water through Asset Management

Biography

Geoffrey seeks to incorporate people, process and information into his approach to asset management. Mature asset management culminates in informed decisions being made by the right people, within a framework, based on the right information. Using this approach, Geoffrey seeks to understand client needs and work with them to deliver solutions to improve the outcomes. Incorporating the skills he has learnt over 20 years of working in asset management, operating and maintaining assets in heavy industry, and managing a range of projects, Geoffrey now grounds the asset management work he now undertakes based on real world experiences across all aspects from strategic level to practical applications. His expertise includes governance frameworks, asset management plans, lifecycle planning, condition assessments, maintenance management, auditing, business cases, and financial modelling. Geoffrey is passionate about engaging with teams to drive outcomes safely and efficiently through adherence to standards. He has been involved in several teams to develop and implement systems such as contractor management, maintenance workflow and safety initiatives. Geoffrey is experienced in training and mentoring staff, both technically and professionally. He continually looks for opportunities to transfer knowledge, encourage innovation and embrace the concept of ‘working smarter, not harder’, while always striving to maintain his core values of safety and quality to meet client needs.
